The Honourable Ujjal Dosanjh The Minister of Health is responsible to Parliament for administering some 20 health-related laws and associated regulations that govern the overall programs and policies of the Department.

The Honourable Ujjal Dosanjh was appointed Federal Minister of Health in July 2004.


	The Minister of State for Public Health, Carolyn Bennett, was named Minister of State (Public Health) in 2003, and was re-appointed to that position in 2004.

The Deputy Minister of Health and the Associate Deputy Minister of Health support the Minister and the Minister of State (Public Health) as well as manage departmental operations.
