Help on the Web Accessibility Features of the Canada Site

Improving the accessibility of this Web site for everyone is a priority for the Canada Site team. The Canada Site has been designed and programmed with a view to making the information accessible for all users, including individuals who are using adaptive technologies to receive information and interact with the Internet.

The Canada Site has recently added new accessibility features for the benefit of individuals using adaptive technologies. Some of these accessibility features are browser-dependent, and their functionality may be limited on certain browsers. These features are outlined below.

Label

The Label feature is used on any text preceding a Form element (radio button, a checkbox, text box or text area) to improve the Web accessibility of that form element to all users. This feature is browser dependent and may or may not work with your particular browser. When supported, the Label provides all users, particularly those using a voice-controlled mouse or other special mouse device, with more area to click on to activate a text box, radio button, dropdown list or check boxes.
