Income Statistics

The annual Income Statistics reports use tables of data to create a profile of Canadian taxpayers.

Final Statistics - Sample Data
Detailed profiles of Canadian taxfilers based on a stratified random sample of individual tax returns

Interim Statistics - Universe Data
Preliminary statistics based on the universe of all returns filed and processed during a given tax year. This usually represents about 97% of all returns filed

GST/HST Statistics

The annual Compendium of GST/HST Statistics provides detailed profiles of goods and services tax/harmonized sales tax (GST/HST) registrants.

Before the 2000 edition (1998 tax year), the Interim Statistics and Final Statistics were only available in paper publications called Income Statistics (1999 edition) and Tax Statistics on Individuals (1998 and earlier editions). Starting with the 2000 edition (1998 tax year), these reports are only available in electronic format on the CRA Web site.
