NEW The Canadian Ecological Gifts Program Handbook 2005 is a comprehensive guidebook for donors, recipients, appraisers and others interested in the ecogifts program. It provides detailed information on all aspects of the program, including tax benefits, donor and recipient roles, and a step-by-step explanation of the ecogifts process.

NEW The Ecological Gifts Program donor brochure provides donors with an overview of the ecogifts process and principles, and is a good starting point for anyone who is new to the program.

NEW The Ecological Gifts Program Guidelines for Appraisals (August 2005) provides appraisers with detailed information on the required format and content of all appraisals submitted as part of the process to determine the ecogift's fair market value.

The Confirmation that Ecogifts are Eligible for Split-Receipting fact sheet explains how the split-receipting provisions in the Income Tax Act pertain to the Ecological Gifts Program.

The Ecological Gifts Program Donation and Income Tax Scenarios fact sheet gives potential donors examples of the possible tax implications of ecogift donations through hypothetical tax scenarios that present a range of fictional cases across Canada. In all cases, donors are strongly advised to obtain independent tax advice when considering making an ecological gift, to ensure that all tax implications of the gift are clearly understood.

The Ecological Gifts Program Progress Report 1995-2003 is a report to donors, recipients and partner organizations of the EGP that summarizes the statistical highlights and achievements since the Program's inception in 1995 through to the end of fiscal year 2002. The report contains a summary description of the EGP and important milestones achieved to date, national and regional highlights, as well as an overview of current partnerships and future directions.
