NRC Presently is involved in more than 1000 actives collaborations.

The number of agreements has increased by 15% between 2003-2004 and 2004-2005.

These agreement have a global worth of over 338 million dollars.

2004-2005

Opportunities for collaborative research between NRC and industry partners exist wherever there are common technical objectives or where the unique expertise of the Institute provides an effective match for industrial requirements. Joint projects result in the transfer of skills and know-how, and the potential for new or improved products and processes.

Collaborations are the most widely used technology transfer mechanism. Our research institutes conduct collaborative projects with industry and public-sector clients.

These partnerships enable the parties to share and reduce their risk as well as the cost of performing research and development. Clients gain access to world-class research facilities and expertise. NRC gains access to additional expertise and the opportunity to jointly develop exciting new applications and technologies.
