Vintage Flights

Feeling adventurous? Wondering what its like to fly in a vintage aircraft? Enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience at the Canada Aviation Museum.

The Canada Aviation Museum is excited to announce the start of another amazing season for our vintage flight experience over the Capital. Visitors to the Museum will be able to fly aboard two different and significant aircraft, a de Havilland Canada Chipmunk , a historic long serving RCAF two-seater aircraft, and a Cessna 172, a famous touring four-seater plane.

Enjoy a spectacular sightseeing flight in the WWII-fighter-type cockpit of the famous de Havilland Canada Chipmunk. The aircraft, operated by The Classic Aircraft Company, will be available for rides daily from 10:30 a.m. to noon and from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Standard 15-minute missions in this historic Royal Canadian Air Force trainer are offered for only $75 each when two or more rides are purchased together, or $87 for a single ride. An extended 30-minute ride is $145.

Cessna 172

The Cessna 172, operated by the Rockcliffe Flying Club, seats up to three passengers at a time and will take off daily from the Museum from 10:30 a.m. to noon and from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The cost for a 15 minute ride is $60 per person, $35 per passenger when two flights are purchased together or $30 per passenger when three flights are purchased together. An extended ride of 30 minutes is $115 per person, $70 per passenger when two flights are purchased together or $60 when three flights are purchased together.

Fees

Cost varies per aircraft as stated in each section specifically. Fees can be paid by cash, cheque made payable to the Canada Aviation Museum or by credit card.

Reservations and ticket purchase can me made at the Museum or by calling 613 993-2010 or 1-800-463-2038 between the hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
