Image Bank

Welcome to the Canada Aviation Museum’s Image Bank, a collection of scanned and digitized images of aircraft, people and places, dating from the early 20th century up to the present day. There are over 15,000 available for web browsing at the moment, a total that we have every intention to increase over the next few years. Many aircraft types used in a variety of functions, both Canadian and foreign, can be accessed at the click of a mouse.

Please note : Requests for image orders are not being taken at this time. We are sorry for any inconvience this may cause.

Frequently Asked Questions and Answers

May I use unaltered images/text in a database at my school or museum?

Yes, provided that there is no charge for the use of the database and that the distribution of the database is limited to education, or public domain use. The images that are obtained must not be altered in any fashion and must be accompanied by a caption naming the museum as the source of the image as stated above.

No. Permission must be obtained before any use of these images can be obtained from the Canada Aviation Museum.

May I use these images/text in a school report, essay, or document?
