    SimEx Virtual Voyages Virtual Voyages

Take a radical departure at the Canada Science and Technology Museum and experience the Virtual Voyages simulator for yourself!

The simulator, located within the Canada in Space exhibition, presents two breath-taking voyages. Take part in a dangerous mission to save the colony established on Mars or travel back in time to the moment it all began and watch 10 billion years unfold before your eyes.

"Passengers" are first briefed in the pre show theatre then board one of two six seat simulators. The simulator pods are each propelled by 6 electric actuators which are controlled using specialized computer software. The films, which were developed using state of the art Silicon Graphics to create the computer images, are projected onto an 30' x 14' (9.1 m x 4.3 m) screen.

A $3 fee for each ride applies, in addition to Museum admission.

Discounted rates are available for 12 persons or more. Groups can reserve their tickets, at least one week ahead of time, by calling 613-991-3053. The reservation line is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There are also special school group rates of $2 per person, per ride.
