    An Exhibit on Bicycle History

    An Exhibit on Bicycle History

This exhibit traces the development of cycling technology from its commercial beginnings in the early 1800s to the present. While bicycles are in use around the world, this exhibit focuses on the history of the cycle in Canada and the manner in which Canadians have employed bicycles in their daily lives.

To tell this story, the Museum has selected 36 bicycles and 44 assorted of over 1500 cycling-related artifacts. Bikes: The Wheel Story provides a rich overview of almost two centuries of technology using artifacts and reproductions of materials from our extensive collection of original artwork, advertising materials and photographs.
