Print & Drawings Study Room
Discover a different world of art at the National Gallery’s Prints and Drawings Study Room!

The Study Room is open to all interested members of the public who wish to visit. Here in specially designed bright and spacious surroundings you may view at your leisure original works of art on paper that are part of the National Gallery’s permanent collection of prints, drawings, watercolours, pastels, miniatures, woodcuts, wood engravings, etchings, aquatints and lithographs.

Over 7000 Canadian prints and drawings from the 18th century to the present day including works by Inuit artists; more than 9500 European works from the 15th to the 20th century; approximately 1000 American and a few Asian treasures; all form the nucleus of an ever growing and impressive collection.

The Study Room is open from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Mondays through Fridays. Appointments must be made at least one week in advance. Make your appointment through the Prints and Drawings volunteers at 990-1960 or studyrm@gallery.ca
