Haskayne endowment yields $20M,
Bow River wildlife park expansion

A 2002 donation of land valued at $8.7 million has grown to a $20 million endowment that will now also help create a City recreation and wildlife park on the banks of the Bow River west of Calgary. >> more 

Capital funding announced

It was a red-letter day for the University of Calgary on Wednesday, Nov. 15, when the provincial government announced almost $100 million in capital funding for two key projects: the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and the Child Development Centre. The Honourable Denis Herard, Alberta Minister of Advanced Education, delivered the news while visiting campus. >> more
