National Core Library Statistics Program

The National Core Library Statistics Program (NCLSP) includes:

  • National statistics on Canadian libraries (includes public, academic and special libraries, excludes school libraries)
  • Application of over 25 library-specific variables
  • Cross-comparative analyses of findings

The first national program to develop profiles of libraries in Canada, the NCLSP is a resource for:

  • Planning budgets and procedures
  • Setting standards
  • Lobbying and policy-development
