National Media Education Week - November 19-24, 2006Media Awareness Network is proud to launch Canada's first ever National Media Education Week November 19-24th. Events in support of media education are taking place across the country including; parent workshops, student contests, media fairs, public forums, professional development presentations and conference sessions. Media Awareness Network is also pleased to launch a new Public Service Announcement campaign designed to promote media literacy. Help support media education by becoming involved in activities taking place across the country.

In celebration of National Media Education Week (November 19-24), we have created the Media Education: Make It Happen! program – a series of free downloadable resources to help educators understand and facilitate media literacy in their classrooms. The bilingual resources include a booklet, workshop and a facilitator’s guide with handouts.
