The Canadian Initiative on Digital Libraries (CIDL) is an alliance of Canadian libraries and related organizations that recognizes the importance of digital information. CIDL aims to increase communication among Canadian organizations engaged in digitization. Member organizations collaborate to ensure better use of digital information, improve standardization, reduce duplication, and foster development of significant digital content for the benefit of Canadians. See About CIDL for details on our mission and objectives. Membership in the Canadian Initiative on Digital Libraries at the Full and Associate levels is open to all Canadian libraries and similar not-for-profit organizations. A basic annual fee, as determined from time to time by the Steering Committee, will be levied. The amount of contributions in excess of the basic annual fee will be eligible for a charitable tax receipt. See the CIDL By-laws for details on membership and sponsorship.
