Professional association aiming to facilitate networking amongst information specialists, promote and defend their profession, disseminate and develop new technology, provide professional development opportunities for its members and numerous domain-relevant publications.
ARMA-NCR Chapter (Ottawa) of ARMA International is a not-for-profit association serving more than 150 information management professionals in the National Capital Region. This page provides information about current ARMA courses, meetings, and other events.
A list of coming conferences and events of interest to the library community is provided here. In addition to events organized or sponsored by CLA units, other events of interest that have been forwarded to the CLA office are listed.
This symposium was held in June 2006. It's aim was to contribute to the development of the semantic Web by providing opportunites for the exchange of scientific knowledge amongst researchers in academia, industry, the Government of Canada, and the international community as well as to develop a strong presence within the international Semantic Web community.
CSCSI/SCEIO exists as a special interest group of CIPS (Canadian Information Processing Society) for the promotion of interest and activity in AI. Under this banner CSCSI/SCEIO conducts workshops and a fully refereed national conference every year. It also sponsors the journal Computational Intelligence.

The Canadian Metadata Forum 2005 was a two-day event designed for key decision-makers and leaders in the field of information resource management. The Forum was held September 27-28, 2005 at Library and Archives Canada, 395 Wellington Street, Ottawa, Canada.
Information about a wide range of learning opportunities is presented here, including online learning resources, tutorials, training sessions, conferences, meetings, seminars, workshops, and fellowships.
Each year RLG hosts a range of events where members exchange information, develop projects, and learn from experts. Includes information on past and future events.
