The 2005 Public Service Employment Survey period is over. Thank you to everyone who completed their questionnaire.
In the coming months Statistics Canada will compile the results, and the Public Service Human Resources Management Agency of Canada will prepare a report that will be shared with all employees and managers, as well as with bargaining agents and other key stakeholders. The results will be available on this site.
Just tell us!
Since November 2, some 170,000 federal employees are invited to share their views on the federal Public Service. Please take the time to answer the questions because the greater the number of respondents, the more accurate and representative the results will be in regard to the federal Public Service as a workplace.
Did you know that your participation as a federal employee will have a direct impact on human resources planning in the Public Service? How, you ask? By evaluating various aspects of your work life, you will help us identify such things as career development and management training needs. Your answers will also help improve access to development courses and will assist us in designing the tools you need to do your work.
Regular surveys of federal employees support the Government of Canada's efforts to maintain a line of communication between management and employees, build an exemplary workplace and workforce and, ultimately, deliver better services to Canadians.
The confidentiality of responses is guaranteed under the Statistics Act by Statistics Canada, which administers the survey on behalf of the
Public Service Human Resources Management Agency of Canada. Data from the questionnaire will be compiled
by Statistics Canada through winter 2006, and the results should be made public in early summer 2006.
You have until December 22 to return the completed questionnaire.
All the questions contained in the 2005 survey are repeated from 2002. If you are a federal employee and you have not received your
questionnaire on November 2, call toll-free 1 866 558 2947 or 1 800 465 7735 (TTY).
Let's keep talking!
