FMI - Standards and Guidelines,

This section provides authoritative guidance on specific elements of management of information such as governance and accountability, program/service delivery, and technology considerations. These are organized below into three principle categories: Management-Related, Information Life Cycle, Legal and Policy Requirements.

Within the FMI context, a standard provides prescriptive, mandatory measures and practices requiring full compliance by government institutions.

A guideline provides descriptive guidance such as best practices, principles and advice giving government institutions a foundation to develop procedures, and allowing them discretion in adapting the guideline to accommodate unique requirements and circumstances.

The hyperlinked items below represent all FMI standards and guidelines currently available.
