PSMA Change Management Framework Illustration

The PSMA Change Management Framework Illustration is a model of the fundamental elements that describe the change process for the PSMA Implementation and HR Modernization initiatives. The framework acknowledges the three pillars of every change effort: people (where building ownership, commitment and change capacity rests), content (what is changing), and process (how the change will be managed). The framework illustrates the circular change process that includes defining the goals, managing the implementation, achieving results, measuring the results and then re-defining the goals. The key steps in managing the implementation of the change include:

  1. Prepare to lead the change
  2. Create vision, commitment and capacity
  3. Assess the current situation
  4. Design the desired state
  5. Analyze the impact and gaps
  6. Plan and organize for changes
  7. Implement the changes
  8. Celebrate and integrate the new state
  9. Learn and course correct

A more detailed PSMA Change Management Framework Illustration that details the key elements of the framework can be accessed in PDF format. The key elements of the framework are explained in the Descriptive Compilation of PSMA Implementation Framework Elements.
