Aircraft Operations (AO) (expiry date: January 25, 2004)
The collective agreement was signed on October 10, 2006.
Law (LA) (expiry date: February 28, 2006)
On May 10, 2006, the bargaining agent filed a notice to bargain and selected
the arbitration process as its dispute resolution method. During bargaining, if
the parties reach an impasse that prevents them from reaching a collective
agreement, either party can request the establishment of an arbitration board by
giving written notice to the Chairperson of the PSLRB. The Arbitration Board
would render an arbitral award which is binding on both parties.
The parties exchanged their proposals November 22 and 23, 2006. Subsequent meetings are scheduled for the week of January 22, 2007
and February 19, 2007.
Financial Management (FI) (expiry date: November 6, 2004)
The settlement was ratified on November 24, 2006. The parties will schedule a date for the signing in the near future.
Economics and Social Science Services (EC): (expiry date: June 21, 2006.)
The collective agreement was signed on August 14, 2006.
Translation (TR) (expiry date: April 18, 2005)
The collective agreement was signed on June 29, 2006.
Ships' Officers (SO) (expiry date: March 31, 2006)
Notice to bargain was received March 30, 2006. The group has selected arbitration as the dispute resolution method. The parties exchanged proposals on April 20, 2006. Negotiations are scheduled for August 21 to 26,
2006 and September 26 to 29 and November 21 to 24, 2006. The next negotiation sessions are scheduled for February 13 to 15, 2007.
University Teachers (UT): collective agreement presently in effect, expiry date: June 30, 2007.
Air Traffic Control (AI): collective agreement presently in effect, expiry date: April 30, 2007.
Radio Operations (RO): collective agreement presently in effect, expiry date: April 30, 2007.
Ship Repair Chargehands and Production Supervisors - East (SRC) (expiry date: March 31, 2006)
Notice to bargain was received on December 12, 2005. The group has selected arbitration as the dispute resolution method. The parties exchanged proposals on February 9, 2006. Negotiations took place on April 25 to 27 and May 30 to June 1,
2006 and June 27, 2006. The union has requested the establishment of an Arbitration Board.
The Public Service Staff Relations Board (PSLRB) has decided to establish a
Board. Tentative dates for the hearing are January 20-21, 2007 in Halifax.
Ship Repair (East) (All employees located on the East) (expiry date: December 31, 2006)
Notice to bargain was received October 20, 2006. The parties will exchange proposals on November 29, 2006.
Ship Repair (All employees located on the West Coast) (SR-W) (expiry date:
September 30, 2006)
Notice to bargain was received on June 16, 2006. The group has selected
arbitration as the dispute resolution method. The parties exchanged proposals on
July 20, 2006. Negotiations took place from October 16 to 19 and November 6 to 9, 2006. Further meetings are scheduled for February 5-8, 2007.
Printing Services (Non-Supervisory) (expiry date: September 30, 2005)
The parties signed the new collective agreement on October 4, 2006.
Electronics (EL): collective agreement presently in effect, expiry date: June 30, 2007.
Foreign Services (FS): collective agreement presently in effect, expiry date: June 30, 2007.
PIPSC
Applied Science and Patent Examination (SP) (expiry date: September 30, 2005)
Notice to bargain was received on August 25, 2005. The group has selected the arbitration process as its dispute resolution method. The parties exchanged proposals on August 25, 2005. The parties met October 4-6, November 22-24, December 14 15, 2005 and January 10-12, 2006. Meetings scheduled for February 15 17, 2006 have been cancelled. The bargaining agent has requested the assistance of a mediator.
The parties were to meet with the mediator April 5 and 6, 2006 but the meeting has been postponed.
The parties met with mediator on May 16-18, 2006 but did not reach an agreement.
On June 21, 2006 the bargaining agent requested the establishment of an
arbitration board. The Arbitration hearing was held on September 28 and 29.
The arbitral award was received on October 6, 2006. The award includes: economic
increases of 2.4% effective October 1, 2005 and 2.5% effective October 1, 2006;
restructuring of the final two increments of the AG-03, BI-03 and CH-03 salary
levels to eliminate partial steps; and changes to traveling time, religious
observance and leave for family-related responsibilities in line with other
collective agreements.
Architecture, Engineering and Land Survey (NR): collective agreement presently in effect, expiry date: September 30, 2007.
Audit, Commerce and Purchasing (AV): collective agreement presently in effect, expiry date: June 21, 2007.
Computer Systems (CS) (expiry date: December 21, 2004)
The collective agreement was signed on July 24, 2006.
Health Services (SH): collective agreement presently in effect, expiry date: September 30, 2007.
Research (RE) (expiry date: September 30, 2006)
Notice to bargain was received on June 5, 2006. The parties exchanged proposals on August 25, 2006.
The parties met October 3-4 and November 15-16, 2006. They are scheduled to meet again on December 6-7, 2006.
Correctional Officers (CX) (expiry date: May 31, 2002)
The collective agreement was signed on June 26, 2006.
