Information Notice - Amendments to the Public Service Health Care Plan

Date: March 28, 2006

To: Compensation Managers, Heads of Human Resources and Participating Separate employers

SUBJECT: Amendments to the Public Service Health Care Plan

The purpose of this notice is to provide you with information on the amendments to the Public Service Health Care Plan (PSHCP), which will take effect on April 1, 2006.

These changes to the PSHCP are the result of a two-year collaborative effort between the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS) and the Bargaining Agents and the Federal Superannuates National Association. A communiqué to that effect has been posted on the National Joint Council (NJC) Internet site.

INFORMATION TO PLAN MEMBERS
A separate package of information (see attachment) on the changes to the PSHCP has been specifically prepared for plan members.

The package contains an Information Notice intended for distribution to your organizations's employees. This Information Notice contains a link to Information Bulletin #18 prepared by the Public Service Health Care Plan Trust and describes in detail these changes. The Information Notice also provides employees with links to other important documents such as the new PSHCP Plan Directive and necessary Application Forms.
