Trailblazers

NRCan's chronicles are filled with interesting, award-winning, internationally recognized individuals who, in unique ways, have made NRCan what it is today and what it will become tomorrow. The list below represents the first in a series of Trailblazers who have contributed to the beginnings, development or advancement of our department. Each month we will highlight the accomplishments of one individual.

Trailblazer of the month: Sir William Edmond Logan

At nearly 6,000 metres above sea level, Mount Logan, the highest peak in Canada, stands as a monument to the achievements of the great Canadian geologist, Sir William Edmond Logan.
