West on Wellington

This Canada Day Go West On Wellington (WOW)

OTTAWA, June 17, 1999 - An exciting treasure hunt and a draw for prizes are just two of the fun activities waiting for you when you go West On Wellington (WOW) this Canada Day, July 1st, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Just five minutes from Parliament Hill, the WOW partners - Supreme Court of Canada, National Archives, National Library, Currency Museum of the Bank of Canada and Elections Canada - invite you to join in the WOW Treasure Hunt, a game for the whole family. With passport in hand, participants visit each site on Canada Day to find the answer to a simple question about each institution. They are then eligible to enter a draw for various unique prizes. In each location, passports, contest ballots and ballot boxes will be available. The draw will take place at 4:30 p.m. on July 1st in the main lobby of the National Archives and National Library of Canada, 395 Wellington Street, Ottawa.

The WOW Treasure Hunt is part of a full day of free festivities that also includes face painting for children, guided tours, music, cake and more. So be sure to make West On Wellington part of your plans for Canada Day!
