Design for Canada Post Stamp honouring Terry Fox, 1982, by Friedrich Peter

Canadians of all generations recognize Terry Fox (1958-1981) for his heroic achievements in the Marathon of Hope to support cancer research.

Canada Post Corporation used this artwork by Vancouver graphic artist, Friedrich Peter, to print 44 million 30¢ stamps. These stamps, issued on April 13, 1982, were used by Canadians to send mail all over the world.
