Subdivisions

The Subdivisions document, containing some thirty lists, is available in Portable Document Format (PDF) and Rich Text Format (RTF).

If your browser is equipped with the Adobe Acrobat viewer software or plug-in, you can select the PDF version to view or print the document. The Adobe Acrobat viewer software www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html can be obtained free of charge from Adobe Systems Incorporated.

The RTF (Rich Text Format) version is accessible to all browsers, no proprietary software is required to view and print documents of this format. RTF allows you to save the document locally after which you may alter the text to your own specifications without restrictions.

By clicking on one of the Lists of Subdivisions formats below, you access the lists and index. Depending whether you choose Lists of Subdivisions - English or Lists of Subdivisions - French, it will display the same list but organized by the alphabetical order of the English subdivisions or of the French subdivisions. The lists are organized by alphabetical order of the short title they were attributed. A Table of Contents is provided at the top of each list and, PDF only, in the left margin. The Table of Contents in the left margin displays the English title or the French title and list number. The Table of Contents appearing at the top of each list displays the English title, the French title and the list number. By clicking on either of these elements, you access the corresponding list (PDF only).

Lists of subdivisions - English

Lists of subdivisions - French

Last update of the Lists : 2007-01-31.

Each list is organized in a bilingual format : English-French, or French-English. In the English-French lists, an English subdivision may not have a French equivalent; a blank space will then display in the right hand column for the French subdivision. An English subdivision may also correspond to more than one French subdivision; user must then select the one matching the item's subject. And conversely in the French-English lists, a blank space displayed in the left hand column indicates that the English subdivision is not translated.
