The 1995 Governor General's Literary Award Winners

Gala Reading

On November 15, 1995, the National Library of Canada hosted, for the fourth year, a Gala Reading by the winners (group photo) of the Governor General's Literary Awards. This event was the highlight of the Library's Fall season, bringing together some of our best writers and the reading public.

Events such as this would not be possible without the cooperation and support of many groups. We thank the Canada Council for their ongoing assistance; their commitment to this project made our job easier. Again in 1995 our presenting sponsor was the CGI Group Inc. and we thank them for their continuing support. Our associate sponsors were once again the Bay Street Bistro; Prospero the Book Company; Ottawa Travelodge Hotel by Parliament Hill; and the Friends of the National Library.
