	The Naskapi Nation of Kawawachikamach (NNK) Copyright/Source

The Naskapi Lexicon database provides users with access to a trilingual dictionary, with translations of terms into Naskapi, English and French. A unique feature of this project, developed in partnership with the Naskapi Development Corporation (NDC), is the use of UNICODE for the display and input of Aboriginal syllabics.

The Naskapi Development Corporation (NDC), incorporated in June 1979, has among its objectives the preservation of the Naskapi language. Since 1979, the corporation has been working on establishing standards for writing Naskapi. In 1994, the corporation published the Naskapi Lexicon, the first official trilingual lexicon of the Naskapi language. For more information about this publication, see History of the Project.
