Graphical element Graphical element Robert Campbell surveyed the new Loyalist settlements along the Saint John River Valley between 1784 and 1787. The resulting map, published in 1788, shows counties, mills and land transportation routes. It gives some landowners’ names and locates White and Black Loyalist and Acadian settlements. The area, part of Nova Scotia at the time, is now New Brunswick.
