SCOPE AND CONTENT:
Workmen slide the last roof section into place at 3:30 P.M., painting of the front gable is completed and a gardener's truck arrives with grassy sod for the front lawn of a prefabricated house on which construction was begun at 9 a.m. Described by the RECON project.

"PREFABRICATED HOMES, VANCOUVER. Rome wasn't built in a day but that was probably because the Romans didn't have prefabricated houses like this four-room bungalow which was erected, painted, water and electricity connected and lawns landscaped between 9 a.m. and 6.20 p.m. one day in an orchard in the Vancouver area. War workers Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kalek moved in at 6.30 p.m. the same day. Here..." (Inscription)
