Naive Art

Return to the ART OF ILLUSTRATION Home Page

Naive artists are self-taught artists or artists who imitate the self-taught. Their fresh, uncluttered style is characterized by vibrant colours, definite shapes, and non-scientific perspective. The child-like renderings are particularly effective for stories told from the child's point of view.
