Prisonniers et exilés

Une des images les plus persistantes de ces rébellions concerne la déportation d'une centaine de prisonniers politiques de l'Amérique du Nord britannique vers les colonies pénitentiaires de Tasmanie. Ces déportations ont été à l'origine d'une production littéraire très spéciale, composée surtout de lettres et de souvenirs.
