Children's Literature Service

Published annually by Library and Archives Canada, Read Up On It presents a selection of Canadian books for young readers. Its goal is to make Canadian authors and illustrators better known and to encourage the reading of Canadian children's literature. The books recommended are for beginning readers and teenagers, parents, as well as volunteers and educators who read to young children in nursery schools and daycare centres. Each year, Read Up On It reaches 25,000 teachers, librarians, educators and parents who channel the pleasure of books and reading to young people.
