About CCA
This section will introduce you to the mission of the CCA and the Canadian Archival System. You can find several documents related to the CCA, including the Constitution and By-Laws, information about the CCA Board of Directors, the Secretariat and links to the Provincial/Territorial Councils/Associations and the two archival professional associations.

News & Events
This section brings you up to date on the most recent projects and initiatives of the Canadian Council of Archives, its standing committees and the archival community.

Committees
To explore the needs of the archival community and to give it guidance, the Canadian Council of Archives has established several committees: the Standards Committee, the Canadian Committee on Archival Description, and the Preservation Committee. In addition to the mandate statement and terms of reference, this section will provide you with information about the projects undertaken by these Committees.

Directory of Archives
This is a database of Canadian repositories. In having access to this section you are able to search for particular Canadian repositories and retrieve information about archival holdings which are under their custody.

Teachers, Researchers, Genealogists and the General Public
This section gives you direct access to the Archives Canada portal. By entering you will be provided with a wealth of information about our collective memory.

Archivists and Archival Institutions
This section is designed to assist institutions that contribute to Archives Canada by helping to promote a unified image.

The Financial Assistance Programmes were established by the Canadian Council of Archives in cooperation with Library and Archives Canada. Under the Commitment to Access Programme is a variety of financial assistance programmes to help ensure that archival materials are preserved and made accessible to every Canadian.

As a delivery organization the Canadian Council of Archives makes available to the archival community the Young Canada Works programme from the Department of Canadian Heritage. This programme offers students and young graduates the chance to acquire experience in their chosen field.

Awareness
Advocacy is making contact to create an impact - your opportunity to get involved in social and political decision-making. And as voicing your views is fundamental to our democracry, every Canadian is encouraged to become an instrument for positive influence.

Donations
The Canadian Council of Archives is encouraging financial donations from individuals and organizations that share a desire to help preserve and make accessible Canada’s documentary heritage for the enjoyment, entertainment and education of future generations.

Since its establishment in 1985, CCA had released different publications. A list of these publications and information about how to order them is included in this section.
