Shipwrecks of Prince Edward Island
Shipwrecks of PEI B

uried deep below the sea off of Prince Edward Island lay the wrecks of many ships which contain tales of sailors and fishermen who battled the weather’s fury. These tales engulfed the lives of many, who were to become a rich part of the Island’s history. Many ships, including fishing vessels, warships and schooners embroiled in a fierce battle with Mother Nature and all of her most deadly powers.

There has always been a certain amount of intrigue and mystery surrounding shipwrecks and the menacing sea. This website uncovers the stories of the ship’s crew, local heros, the Island's history and folklore by providing an overview of some of the more well-known Prince Edward Island shipwrecks.
