Winnipeg, MANITOBA — The Member of Parliament for Charleswood-St. James-Assiniboia, Mr. Steven Fletcher, watches as Aboriginal elder Stella Blackbird performs a smudge ceremony at the official opening of Winnipeg Inner City Missions Transitional Housing Facility Anishinabe Place of Hope - Endaayaang in Winnipeg on September 12, 2007. Mr. Fletcher participated in the opening on behalf of the Honourable Monte Solberg, Minister of Human Resources and Social Development.
