Artifacts
It’s no surprise that the aircraft collection is the most visible component of the Museum’s holdings. This remarkable collection covers aviation developments, in peace and war, in Canada and abroad, from the earliest days of flight to the present. With approximately 130 aircraft under its wing, the Museum has the best collection in the country and one of the most representative in the world. Other aircraft-related artifacts include engines and propellers used to power aircraft from many countries and periods. To complement this material, the Museum has gathered a large number of aircraft models, not to mention a substantial aviation art collection.
