High Flyers: Canadian Women in Aviation

Marion Orr

This exhibit highlights the Canadian women’s experience of flight over a span of some 80 years and their love of aviation and flying experiences. Visitors will come to understand the many accomplishments of these Canadian female aviators and the skill, knowledge and dedication required. “High Flyers” illustrates the role women have played in Canada’s aviation history and celebrates this group of strong-willed pioneers.

Ken Molson : Building a Collection

Kenneth M. Molson (1916-1996), the Canada Aviation Museum’s founding creator when it first opened at Uplands Airport in Ottawa in 1960, was one of Canada’s leading aeronautical historians. Meet this collector through our virtual exhibit “Ken Molson : Building a Collection”
