Planning Your Visit
The Museum’s school programs are offered from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesdays to Fridays from 10 September to 21 December 2007, and from 7 January to 27 June 2008, and from Monday to Friday during May and June. Programs are not available during March Break.
There is a small lunchroom, and outdoor picnic tables are available during fine weather, for students to eat their lunches. Please include a request for these facilities in your reservation request. An on-site catering service is available by calling 613-842-4744.
General Information
Reservations
Please make your reservation at least three weeks in advance by calling 613 993-4264 or click on the Reserve button to fill out an online reservation request. Please allow a minimum of 48 hours for our response. Upon receiving your reservation request, we will send you a confirmation letter. Please bring this confirmation letter with you on the day of your visit.
Fees
Program fees are generally charged at a per person rate and include taxes. Please see individual program descriptions for specific fees. A minimum fee of $75 or $90 per group will be charged, depending on the program. All accompanying adults per group are admitted free. Payment may be made in advance or on arrival by cash, credit card, debit or cheque made payable to the Canada Aviation Museum. Please note all prices and programs are subject to change without notice.
Cancellation Fees
A cancellation fee of $80 per school program (amounts differ for Aviation Adventure programs) will be charged for cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled date of the program. For a program cancelled with more than 48 hours notice, a $20 administration fee will apply, unless the program is rescheduled within the same school year. In the case of school bus cancellation due to inclement weather, this fee will not apply if a school reschedules the cancelled program within the same school year.
Special Needs
The Museum educator assigned to your group will call you before your visit to review the details of your scheduled program. Let us know of any special needs, such as learning or physical disabilities, and vocabulary and language levels. Please note that this information will allow us to better prepare for and meet your needs. In consultation with the community, we have developed a special approach for visually impaired students. The Museum is fully wheelchair accessible.
