Acts and Regulations

Acts and regulations are forms of written law generally referred to as legislation. This section contains the Food and Drugs Act and the Food and Drug Regulations. It also provides access to new and recently updated regulations at Health Canada. Guidelines

Guidelines explain to stakeholders what is required to meet the Food and Drugs Act and Food and Drug Regulations. They provide guidance as to how the department interprets the Act, the Regulations and related policies and how the department intends to apply them.

Policies

Policies are created to describe Health Canada's position on an issue. In this section, you will find policies on such subjects as raw foods of animal origin, nutraceuticals/functional foods and healthy eating.
