My Business Account - October 2007

As more and more Canadian businesses are using My Business Account, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) continues to expand its online services to meet the growing expectation of business owners for convenient and secure online services.

Starting October 2007, several new services will be available to business owners for accessing and managing their business tax information through CRA's My Business Account, saving them time and money by decreasing their tax compliance burden.

The new My Business Account online services will provide business owners with the following additional options:

  • Authorize and manage representatives
Business owners can now authorize an employee, an individual, a firm or an individual of a firm to have access to their business account information, and view, add or cancel an authorization.

  • View account balance and transactions
Users can choose (or select) a balance amount or the total balance to view account transactions for their account's payment period end or for a customized timeframe.

  • Nova Scotia Partnership
Business owners who have a Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations and/or a Workers' Compensation Board account will be able to access the Nova Scotia Business Registry Internet Service from My Business Account.

  • Softwood Lumber Products Export Charge
Softwood lumber export businesses can view transaction details, endorsements, account balance, correspondence, addresses, and make online requests for this account.
