EFILE for Electronic Filers

EFILE is a service that allows registered tax professionals to send current-year individual tax returns to us, using one of our two methods of electronic transmission. To become a registered electronic filer you must first register or, if you already have an efiler number, you must renew.

  • EFILE On-Line - allows you to transmit your client's returns individually over the Internet. You get an acknowledgement of the individual return instantly.

  • EFILE On-Line Plus - allows you to transmit from 1 to 60 of your client's returns at one time over the Internet. When you send a batch of returns, acknowledgement takes only a few hours. With approval from the CRA, you can also access data from the System of Electronic Notification of Debt (SEND).
