Call for Proposals

CBC Television North Region invites the independent production community to submit project proposals to the Program Development Fund (PDF). The PDF works with producers outside of the network centre in Toronto to develop programs that reflect the rich regional and cultural diversity of Canada. It gives priority to projects that reflect the region from which they originate and are designed for nationwide broadcast.

Applications can be submitted for development of a concept, script, budget and financial plan, and/or piloting. All program genres will be considered, including new media and convergence projects.

The PDF is open for submissions on a year-round basis and is in its sixth year of operation. On an annual basis, it infuses an additional one million dollars into CBC Television's program development in Canada's regions.
