Consultation sessions

The Registered Plans Directorate organizes and participates in consultation sessions with representatives from the following industries:

• registered pension plans (RPP);
• registered retirement savings plans (RRSP) and /registered retirement investment funds (RRIF) (in conjunction with the Individual Returns and Payments Processing Directorate (IRPPD)); and
• registered education savings plans (RESP) (in conjunction with Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD)).

The sessions provide opportunities for clients and government representatives to share and discuss concerns and issues that have arisen since the last session. In addition, technical questions submitted by clients are formally responded to and published as part of the minutes of the meetings.

We also organize ad hoc consultations on special topics such as our re-engineering initiative.
