Canada Student Loan Program Online Consultation

Budget 2007 announced a review of the Canada Student Loans Program (CSLP), in consultation with provinces, territories and stakeholders. As part of this review, Human Resources and Social Development Canada conducted an online consultation from September 7 to 28, 2007.

Participants were asked to share their experiences with the CSLP and offer their suggestions to improve the program.

The online consultation was one part of a series of consultations with provinces, territories and stakeholders. The results of these consultations will help inform the review with the perspective of Canadians on how best to modernize, simplify, and administer the CSLP. It is anticipated that changes to the CSLP will be reflected in Budget 2008.

HRSDC would like to thank all the individuals and stakeholder organizations who participated in the online consultation.
