Information sessions are scheduled throughout the year and are suitable for an audience of both technical and financial staff. At an introductory level, they provide a general overview of the SR&ED Program; explain the eligibility criteria; what expenditures are eligible; and how to file an SR&ED claim for investment tax credits. The Edmonton TSO will be holding its Fall information session on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 in Room 201 of the Canada Place Conference Centre, 9700 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton, AB. The session will run from 9:00 - Noon with the doors opening at 8:45. There is no fee for the session but advanced registration is required as space is limited. Coffee and light refreshments will be provided to participants.

An overview of the T661 claim form. SR&ED Terminology will be discussed. By using the Guide to the T661 claim, we'll work on an exercise to calculate SR&ED eligible costs.
The workshop is especially useful for internal controllers, owners of small businesses and bookkeepers involved in preparing SR&ED claims. This workshop is intended for people who have previously attended the SR&ED Information Session Discussion will include: the complete claim checklist, documentation to be maintained, and tips on compiling the information throughout the year to avoid the last-minute rush. We will also highlight non-eligible costs. Review procedures will be discussed.
