			CISTI always supplies your document using the lowest cost service that meets your needs.

CISTI offers several Document Delivery service levels. Your choice will depend on whether your document is in CISTI's catalogue, how quickly you want to receive it, and your need to keep costs down.

For fast, reliable access to the documents in CISTI's catalogue use Direct Service. Ninety percent of Direct Service orders are processed in 24 hours; more than half are processed on the same business day.

CISTI's new Extended Supply Service combines the best features of the former Link and Global Services. The Extended Supply Service carries no mandatory service fees and increases the success rate in filling orders from outside of our own collection. As in the past, your order will be filled using the lowest cost service that meets your needs. If the document you request is in CISTI's collection, or if we obtain it from the Canadian Agriculture Library or any of our Asian Partners, you will be billed at the Direct Service level.

Through Extended Supply Service, CISTI can obtain any document for you, from anywhere in the world. Documents obtained from one of CISTI's Extended supply partners (University of Alberta, the British Library Document Supply Centre and INIST) are processed for delivery within 72 hours. Turn around times for documents obtained from other suppliers range from 72 hours up to 4 weeks.

Use CISTI's Custom Service when you need clean or colour copies or for urgent orders.

You can specify the level of service you prefer at the time of ordering by choosing the appropriate line from the drop- down menu on any of the CISTI order forms.
