About Services to Health Libraries

CISTI offers various services to Health Libraries.

CISTI is the DOCLINE Coordinator for Canada
CISTI provides training, technical assistance, and client support, oversees the application process, disseminates information about the system, and acts as a liaison between Canadian participants, NLM and other DOCLINE libraries.

CISTI is a Loansome Doc Provider 
Loansome Doc is an end-user ordering tool integrated with PubMed. CISTI offers client support to DOCLINE libraries in implementing Loansome Doc.

CISTI Committee on Health Sciences Information
The Committee provides specialized advice to CISTI on CISTI's plans, priorities, programs and services to the health and medical research communities. The Committee is made up of representatives from the major professional health library associations in Canada.

CISTI's Collection and Document Delivery Services
CISTI's policy is to collect all significant journals in the health sciences and medicine regardless of language or format. The collection has grown to include over 10 000 medical serial titles, over 3200 current medical serials, and over 340 current pharmaceutical serial titles. CISTI's collection contains approximately 70% of the serials indexed in MEDLINE.

Medical conference proceedings are a specialty. Staff catalogue conference proceedings whether they are published separately or as part of a journal series.

CISTI provides Document Delivery through DOCLINE and Loansome Doc.
