Frequently asked question

I received a slip that says something about an educational assistance payment on it. What do I do?

Include this amount as income at line 130 on your return. Income amounts earned in an RESP are called educational assistance payments (EAPs). Beneficiaries include the EAPs, but not the contributions, in their income for the year in which they receive them.

Completing your tax return

On line 130, enter the total of all of your other income types.
