Special Events

All Canadians can receive:

  1. Congratulatory Messages
    The Congratulatory Messages program sends congratulatory messages on behalf of the prime minister for wedding anniversaries, birthdays and other special occasions.
  2. Special Milestone and Event Messages
    The Special Milestone and Event Messages program sends congratulatory messages on behalf of the Governor General and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II to individuals, families and organizations to highlight eligible special milestones and events.
  3. Voter Registration
    The Voter Registration program maintains the National Register of Electors, which contains general information on electors, including their name, address, gender and date of birth.
  4. Community Volunteer Income Tax Program
    The Community Volunteer Income Tax Program provides eligible individuals with free help in completing their tax returns.
  5. Reaffirmation Ceremony
    The Reaffirmation Ceremony program offers Canadian-born and naturalized Canadian citizens the opportunity to reaffirm their citizenship by taking or repeating the oath of citizenship.
