The goaltender made his third start of the season and his first appearance since last Thursday, when he also allowed four goals in a win over Atlanta. Emery dropped to 2-1-0 with a 3.00 goals-against average and .895 save percentage.
Analysis: Emery has lost three of his last four to the Capitals, and is 3-3-0 with a 2.68 GAA and .917 save percentage in six career starts against them.
Nov. 3 12:59 AM PT1:59 AM MT2:59 AM CT3:59 AM ET-In his second start of the season, Emery made 15 saves for the host Senators in their 6-4 victory over Atlanta on Thursday. The goaltender allowed four goals for the first time since he surrendered as many in an overtime loss at Toronto on March 10. Emery won his only other start of the season on Oct. 20 against Florida, when he returned after having offseason wrist surgery. He has posted a 2.50 goals-against average and .902 save percentage this season.
Analysis: Emery, who lost both starts to the Thrashers last season, improved to 4-2-1 with a 3.57 GAA and .851 save percentage in seven career starts against them.

The goaltender won his only start of the season on Oct. 20 against Florida, when he returned after having offseason wrist surgery. Senators coach John Paddock said that while it looks like Emery and Martin Gerber are being alternated that each start is based on other factors, such as, each goalie's record against an opponent.
Analysis: Emery has lost each of his last two starts against the Thrashers - both coming last season - to fall to 3-2-1 with a 3.50 goals-against average and .859 save percentage in six career starts against them. Gerber, meanwhile, is 3-4-0 with a 3.50 GAA and .866 save percentage in nine appearances, including seven starts, versus the Thrashers.
Oct. 21 6:48 AM PT7:48 AM MT8:48 AM CT9:48 AM ET-Making his first regular-season NHL start since offseason wrist surgery, Emery made 31 saves to help the host Senators beat the Florida Panthers, 4-1, on Saturday night. The goaltender has won four straight against the Panthers, improving to 5-1-0 with a 2.52 goals-against average and .927 save percentage in six appearances. Emery was with the Senators' AHL affiliate in Binghamton last weekend, playing two games and stopping 80 of 86 shots.
Analysis: Emery will have to wait a week for his next start, with the Senators off until facing the New Jersey Devils at the new Prudential Center in Newark next Saturday. He has lost three straight against them, and is 3-2-2 with a 1.97 GAA and .930 save percentage in seven starts.
Oct. 11 1:19 PM PT2:19 PM MT3:19 PM CT4:19 PM ET-Emery was assigned to Binghamton of the American Hockey League on Thursday for a two-game conditioning stint.
Analysis: Emery, recovering from a left wrist injury that required surgery, will start for Binghamton against Syracuse on Friday night and Hershey on Saturday night. Emery was 33-16-6 last season with a 2.47 goals-against average. He went 13-7 in the playoffs to help the Senators advance to the Stanley Cup finals.
Oct. 2 12:41 PM PT1:41 PM MT2:41 PM CT3:41 PM ET-Emery is still bothered by a wrist injury and is not expected to play in the season opener on Wednesday against Toronto, according to TSN.ca. ''He's not going to play in Toronto and he's not going to play on the weekend,'' Senators head coach John Paddock said after Saturday's morning's pre-game skate. Martin Gerber will likely make the start on Wednesday, with Brian Elliott serving as the backup.
Analysis: Emery, who had the wrist on his catching hand surgically repaired in June, has been limited to just 40 minutes in the preseason. The goaltender agreed to a three-year, $9.5 million deal in July. Emery was 33-16-6 with a 2.47 goals-against average while starting 56 of 58 games last year. Gerber, meanwhile, was 15-9-3 with a 2.78 GAA, starting 26 of his 29 starts for Ottawa last season.
Jun. 24 8:43 AM PT9:43 AM MT10:43 AM CT11:43 AM ET-Emery and the Ottawa Senators avoided salary arbitration Tuesday by agreeing to a three-year deal worth $9.5 million moments before the two sides began their hearing.
Analysis: The 24-year-old was a restricted free agent. He emerged as Ottawa's starting goalie last season and led the team to an appearance in the Stanley Cup finals. He should continue in his starting role in 2007-08.
