Food Services

A range of food service areas are available to Gallery visitors, each offering an interesting and unique variety. Managed by KW Catering and Events, they offer moderately priced food and are licensed to serve beer and wine. For information, please call KW Catering and Events at (613) 943-0247.

  Cafétéria des Beaux-Arts
   

Located at the end of the Concourse off the Great Hall, and across from the Contemporary galleries, this beautifully appointed room has its own glass rotunda, access to a private patio and an inspiring view of Nepean Point, the Ottawa River and Parliament Hill. The cafeteria is designed to serve families and groups in an informal, self-service atmosphere. Choose from two daily specials, salad bar, made to order sandwiches and more. Hours of operation follow Gallery hours throughout the year.

 

  Café l'Entrée
   

Overlooking the Ottawa River, the Café l'Entrée is situated in the Great Hall, the focal point of the Gallery. Perfect for lunch or afternoon tea, the Café's menu emphasizes simply prepared, light foods and fine pastries. Group Tour menus are available upon request for those enjoying guided tours of the collection. Open every day from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm.

 

  Sketches
   

Situated near the Gallery's main entrance, and enjoying private access to a tree-filled sunken courtyard, Sketches' vending machines supplement brown-bag lunch offerings.

 

  Catering
   

Whether you are searching for a venue to host a small meeting, or the grandest of gala presentations, the National Gallery offers a range of exquisite and breathtaking spaces ideal for your event.

To complement your event, only the most outstanding professionals have been approved to cater at the National Gallery of Canada. For menu arrangements, we invite you to contact the Special Events Office at (613) 991-0000 or spevents@gallery.ca for the current list of professional caterers.

The National Gallery's food service areas are operated during Gallery open hours by KW Catering and Events and, as such, KW Catering and Events hold the liquor license for the Gallery and is the exclusive provider for all functions.
